EUPHORIA

At some point of time in your life, you must have experienced being in an extreme state of happiness. The word euphoria basically means to be in a state of intense happiness or wellbeing. When you achieve your goal after continuous efforts, besides feeling confident, it leaves you feeling extremely happy and overjoyed. You are in high spirits and in a state of complete bliss. It means you are experiencing euphoria.

So when you are taken by surprise due to something you never expected, there is always a burst of euphoria. For example, When your dream girl asks you out on a date, you are euphoric as you never expected your dream to become a reality. As the word euphoria is a kind of emotion, it is a noun.

Example 01 : After holding his new born baby for the first time, Dr. John was filled with euphoria.
Ex 02 : Chang was flooded with euphoria, when he was awarded as the best chef at the food festival.

KEEP AT BAY

Sometimes you realize that some things or certain people don't make you comfortable due to various reasons. To avoid any conflict or unpleasantness you choose to stay away in such situations. To keep at bay (from someone or something) means to keep a safe distance from them. It also means to prevent something or someone from coming too near to you or harming you which could be a person or a problem.

So When you keep something or someone at bay, you are handling the situation more tactfully without getting into any unnecessary mess or a problem. So you very smartly choose to stay away by keeping things at bay.

For example, When you are on a weight loss program, you keep yummy deserts at bay as they go against your goal of losing weight. Okay, now that you know what this idiom means, let's take a look at some example sentences to see how you can use it in your daily conversation.

Example 01 : Whenever Tina is out, she keeps her husband's credit cards at bay, as she can't resist shopping.
Ex 02 : A daily dose of vitamin C keeps cough and cold at bay.

YEARN

Have you ever craved for something that is hard to get? Or had a desire for something that is beyond your reach at the moment? The word yearn basically means to have a strong desire or longing for something. To yearn for something is to want it really bad. Usually you yearn for something or someone you can't get easily.

It also means to have deep affection for something. When you have an intense feeling of loss or lack, or you care and treasure something, it means you yearn for it. When you are away from home for many years, you yearn for your mother's love. As the word yearn shows the action of a strong desire, it is a verb.
Example 01 : Jennifer is star-struck and yearns for a lifestyle as rich and lavish as the Hollywood stars.
Ex 02 : After two decades of imprisonment, the prisoners yearned for their freedom.
Ex 03 : Though Sam is content being the manager in the company, somewhere in his heart, he still yearns to be the CEO which seems like a distant reality as of now.
Ex 04 : Despite a successful career in private business, john always yearned for a return to his public sector roots.

TO GET EVEN

When someone does something or says something that is wrong or unacceptable, it leaves you feeling very hurt. In such a situation you wish to teach him a lesson to make him realize how you felt because of his act. So you decide to react in an equally bad manner just like he did. The idiom 'get even', basically means to do something equally bad to someone who has done bad to you.

It also means to take revenge or punish someone who did something wrong to you. When you get even with someone, you make him realize what wrong he did to you and how bad you felt at that time. It also means you are standing up for something wrong done to you. If you play a prank on your friend who did the same with you, it means you are getting even with him.

You are teaching him a lesson by doing something equally bad to him. You often gain your peace of mind when you get even with someone you need to. Alright, Now that you know what this idiom means, lets take a look at some example sentences, to see how you can use it in your daily conversation,.
1 Mike wants to get even with Peter for taking over his project while he was on a vacation.
2. India wants to get even with Australia after losing two consecutive matches, to retain the number position in test cricket.  
3. Peter parked his car in Tom's parking slot and refused to remove it, Tom got even with peter by fixing a banana in the exhaust pipe of his car.
4. Little John got even with his sister, by writing on her face with a permanent marker, while she was sleeping.
5.Father told Jack, "Don't come home crying, always get even and finish your silly fights at school.
6. After the store had refused a replacement for a faulty computer, Mrs. Smith complained to the consumer court, to get even
7. Peter is waiting for the right opportunity to get even with Sam for insulting him at the party.
8. Being harassed by the telemarketing calls, William got even by placing a fake order for one of their products.
9. The best way to get even with someone who hurts you, is to forget and forgive.
10. I would like to share with you an experience about my neighbor, Peter got even with one of his colleague Lisa by pouring used oil underneath her car each night, as a result she had to spend huge money to check the oil leak at the garage, time again. Finally Lisa got tired and sold her car, and bought a new one, just to her surprise even the new car had a oil leak in few days.

PROCRASTINATE

Often certain tasks may not interest you, so to avoid boredom, you delay in doing them. You put them off for some other day.To Procrastinate basically means to put off or delay doing something to a later date, due to your carelessness or laziness. To put something off to a future time is an act of procrastination. So when you don't focus on something that is important and waste your time in doing other things, it means you are procrastinating.  

THE HABIT OF PROCRASTINATING MEANS DELAYING SOMETHING THAT REQUIRES IMMEDIATE ATTENTION. 

It also means to POSTPONE DOING What one should do immediately but keeps Delaying NEEDLESSLY. We generally procrastinate due to distraction, laziness or lack of interest in doing something.
Example 01 : Mother warned her son, " In this competitive world, don't procrastinate in deciding on the job offer, you may lose a good opportunity.
Ex 02 : The teacher told her class, " If you keep procrastinating your homework, you will be punished."
Ex 03 : After the retirement Eric had planned to learn basic computer skills, so he could write emails, but has always procrastinated his plans.
Ex 04 : Every time mother asks Rachel about her wedding plans, she procrastinates the discussion ,saying she is yet not ready to get married.
Ex 05 : John has been procrastinating to fix the broken rear tail light for more than a year.
Ex 06 : If you find a suspicious mole on your skin, get it examined right away and do not procrastinate, as it could lead to something serious.
Ex 07 : Mary always procrastinated in proposing John and one fine day she saw him married to someone else.
Ex 08: Alice kept on procrastinating hitting the gym, until one fine day she found herself weighing beyond a 300 pounds. 
Ex 09 : Though Thomas was smart, but his constant procrastination led him to be late with almost every assignment. 
Ex 10 : After the age of 40, a pain in the chest, should be examined without procrastination, as it could lead to a heart attack.
