APPEASE

This means to calm or satisfy a person, usually by giving what was asked for. 
It could also mean , giving into the demands of someone or a situation. 
When your friends are arguing, you try to calm down the situation, that means you appease such a situation. 
Sometimes, store managers have to give extra benefits to appease angry customers. 
So basically, the word 'appease' means, to calm or satisfy a person, or a desire, by giving what is asked for or needed. 
'Appease' is a Verb, as it is an act of satisfying or calming.
Example 01 : The audience was not appeased by the most awaited film of the year. 
Ex. 02 : I don't understand how you appease your angry boss each time ! Please teach me the trick. 
Ex. 03 : The father was able to appease his naughty children by promising them some cookies. 
Ex. 04 : Sometimes, store managers have to give extra benefits to appease annoyed customers. 
Ex. 05 : When you are on a diet, the best way to appease your hunger is by having fruits. 
Ex. 06 : The attorney appeased his client's anxiety by assuring him a positive outcome.
